WELCOME
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hi. My name is
Leslie. I am Canadian. I was born in Belleville, Ontario and am the
oldest of 5 children. My family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba and I am
currently living 1 hour north of Winnipeg in a little town called
Komarno (the misquito capitol).
I have been buying
and selling on eBay since April 1999. I work full time at another job
so this is a hobby. I enjoy gardening and I collect dolls.
MY AUCTIONS
I list all my
auctions in U.S. funds but sell internationally. I will gladly convert
all U.S. dollar auctions to Canadian funds for Canadian winning bidders.
INTERNATIONAL
BIDDERS
I welcome
international bidders in most auctions. Since I cannot always list
postage for all overseas parcels please email. I don't charge handling
and will quote in U.S. dollars your postage and stick to it once
auction ends.
POSTAGE CHARGES
I always list a
charge for postage in my auctions if I an able. Since I am charged
Canadian dollars for postage and my auctions are in U.S. dollars the
charge is also in U.S. dollars. I convert the actual postage in
Canadian dollars to U.S. dollars and round up or down to the nearest
dollar. The exchange rate changes daily. Winning Canadian bidders can
always ask for exact postage to their home by suppling their postal
code.
SHIPPING POLICY
I ship within
48 hours of receiving your payment, usually within 24 hours. Canada
Post does not have weekend mail service so if your payment arrives on
Friday your parcel will be mailed on Monday.
PAYMENT TERMS
I ACCEPT AS
FORMS OF PAYMENT:
PAYPAL
International
postal money orders

HOW TO SHIP
INTERNATIONALLY FROM THE U.S.
Many U.S. sellers are looking for advice on how to ship
Internationally. I thought I'd try and summarize. Much of this is taken
from the USPS IMM - International Mail Manual and Publication 51 - a
guide with fees for extra services like Certificate of mailing,
insurance coverage, Registered mail, Restricted Delivery, Return
Receipt and International Postal Money Orders. Publication 51 also has
charts showing maximum insurance, weight, size, postage rate tables,
etc. by country and mail class. These manuals are very handy.

SHIPPING VALUABLE ARTICLES
(ie coin , currency, jewelry, gold, silver, precious stones, watches,
etc. )
Valuable articles may be sent only by registered Priority Mail
International flat-rate envelope, registered First-Class Mail
International, or insured Priority Mail International Shipments and are
not mailable in Express Mail International or ordinary Priority Mail
International shipments
Note: The term "jewelry" is generally understood to denote articles of
more than nominal value. Inexpensive jewelry, watches, such as tie
clasps and costume jewelry, containing little or no precious metal, is
not considered to be jewelry and is not subject to the mailing
restrictions.
OTHER CARRIERS:
UPS, FEDEX and other Private Carriers.
Most Couriers provide a Standard and an Express service. Private
couriers clear the item thru the destination country and charge a fee
for this service. These fees are in addition to any taxes and/or duty
the buyer would normally have to pay if sent thru a domestic carrier.
Usually these fees are included in their Express Service but not in
their Standard service. This fee is generally referred to as a
"brokerage fee" and is usually charged to the buyer at the other end.
This fee may include disbursement fees ( advancement of money fees ) ,
C.O.D. Fee's, and import permits on top of their standard clearance
fees.
Some buyers may prefer to have their item shipped via a private
courier. Perhaps they have a business account and/or have their own
broker for clearance. Before you send your item using a private
couriers standard service, make sure the buyer knows about the
additional fees.
CUSTOMS FORMS
Most parcels leaving the U.S. via USPS will require a customs form. Any
item that is not dutiable and weighs less than 16 oz. and mailed
First-Class International does not need a customs form. The contents
and value of an item must be declared on the customs form. Postal items
that require a completed customs declaration form may not be deposited
into a street collection box or a post office lobby drop. Such items
must be tendered to a USPS employee at a post office or other location
as designated by the postmaster. Exception: The above restriction on
the deposit of customs mail does not apply to Express Mail
International shipments paid through an Express Mail corporate account .
There are 2 types of customs forms that USPS uses.
-PS Form 2976, Customs - CN 22 is a green label.
-PS Form 2976-A, Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note CP 72 is a white
form.
The green customs form ( 2976 ) is used on all Priority Flat-Rate
envelopes, First-Class Mail International and M-Bag when the value is
under $400. The white customs form (2976-A ) is used on all Priority
Mail International parcels. It is also used on all Priority Flat-Rate
Envelopes, First-Class Mail International and M-bag when the value is
$400. or more.
For Express Mail International the customs form requirement varies by
country. Ask your PO or see each Individual Country Listings .
USPS Global Express Guaranteed uses the Fedex International Air
Waybill/Shipping invoice. Not all post Offices may carry this.
When filling out the customs form you must declare the contents of the
parcel, the value and whether it is a gift or merchandise. The value of
your parcel is the amount the auction ended at. ( ie: auction ends at
$21.01, value on customs form is $21.01 ). Do not add shipping or
anything else. Most countries charge taxes and/or duty on incoming
merchandise and the taxes are usually based on a percentage of the
value you write. So it's very important not to overvalue the contents.
EBay purchases are considered merchandise.
For more information on customs forms:
http://pe.usps.com/text/imm/immc1_008.htm#ep896408
INSURED VALUE
The declared insured value on the parcel should match the declared
merchandise value. USPS will not cover more than the actual value of
the contents and many countries will base their taxes/duties on either
the declared merchandise value or the declared insured value, whichever
is highest. If you must insure for more than the declared value
consider using an outside Insurance Company as the insured value will
not show on the parcel . Two popular choices are U-PIC and DSI.

PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED ITEMS
Every country has items that are prohibited or restricted. Use your
common sense. Don't mail flammable liquids, weapons ( like guns ), dead
or alive animals, plants ( insect disease ), radioactive materials,
etc. Information on articles that are prohibited or restricted to
individual countries appears under "Prohibitions and Restrictions" in
the Individual Country Listings.
